The creation in 1963 of the Museum of the Pałuck Region in Żnin was the culmination of many years of efforts and the fulfillment of the dreams of activists of the Pałucki Branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society. Over time, the Harvest Museum became a branch of the District Museum Leon Wyczółkowski to become an institution administered by the commune of Żnin in the early 1990s. The museum is located in the historic buildings of the center of Znin: in the building of the magistrate built at the beginning of the 20th century and the Gothic town hall tower from the 15th century.
