It is the oldest of the temples preserved in Kujawy, built in the Romanesque style at the turn of the 11th / 12th century. Initially, it served as an episcopal cathedral. When the episcopate was moved to Włocławek, it became a collegiate church at which the Kruwicka chapter exists. In the 1950s and 1970s, re-humanization was carried out to restore the character of the Romanesque temple. The collegiate church in Kruszwica has the character of a three-nave basilica, built of granite and sand blocks, with a pillar system, with a presbytery in the form of an apse, separated from the nave by a transept with eastern apses. The nave corps is finished with a late Gothic brick tower from the 16th century.
