The unique and largest wooden construction in Europe for evaporating water from brine was designed by Jakub Graff - a professor at the Mining Academy in Kielce. Three such buildings were built in Ciechocinek - arranged in the shape of a horseshoe. Construction of the graduation towers I and II lasted from 1824 to 1828, the third was established in 1859. The basis of the graduation tower is about 7,000 oak piles driven into the ground, on which a spruce-pine structure filled with blackthorn is placed, over which brine flows. The height of the graduation tower is 15.8 m, while their total length is 1741.5 m. The brine is pumped to the graduation tower from source No. 11 ("Grzybek fountain") and forced upwards to the troughs installed at their top. From here, the brine drops through the walls of the graduation tower and evaporates intensively under the influence of wind and sun rays. Around the graduation tower, the famous, iodine-rich microclimate is created, creating a natural, healing inhalatory. The graduation towers are open all year round (ascending the mountain seasonally). Charges taken seasonally (spring-autumn) between 9:00 and 19:00
